Easily transfer your certification or prepare ahead of time with our pre-audit document review. Additionally, we are authorized by all major flag states to carry out audits and issue DOCs and SMCs. Remote Audit

For ABS clients, remote audit is available through the ABS MyFreedom Portal and requires that certain SMS documents be submitted in advance of the audit. Remote auditing requires approval from the Flag Administration. Additionally, information and communication technologies (ICT) is a prerequisite for remote audits to allow live streaming for opening or closing meetings, interviews, walkabout and drill. The list of SMS documents to be submitted will be provided in email by the attending ABS auditor including a schedule for a remote audit planning meeting. If live streaming is not possible, the audit will be scheduled as a streamlined audit or conventional audit. 

Streamlined Audit

Optional streamlined service is also available to new and current clients through the online request form or through the ABS MyFreedom Portal. The Streamlined Audit Service requires certain SMS documents to be submitted in advance of the audit to reduce time aboard the vessel or at the company. The list of SMS documents to be submitted will be provided in email by the attending ABS auditor. If SMS documents cannot be provided in advance of the audit, the audit will be scheduled as a conventional audit, in which case the documents will be reviewed during the audit on premises.

Conventional Attendance

The Conventional Attendance is a physically attended audit available to new and current clients through the ABS MyFreedom Portal. While certain documents may be requested prior to the attendance, the entire audit will be completed during a physically attended audit in which case the documents will be reviewed during the audit on premises or while onboard.
